Free Range Ducks

We have a small river/large creek that runs through our property. after having my ducks penned for a few weeks what are the chances they will just hop in the creek and swim away once i let them out?

My DH and I have the same situation. We kept ours penned up for about 4 weeks before we let them out with the geese. They have been free ranging since the end of May and they haven't really left the yard. I do keep a kids pool full for them so they do tend to stick by that. Good Luck!
