Hello,
I just purchased buff giant dewlap Toulouse eggs for hatching and would like to know what's the best protocol for a successful hatch. I have two incubators (one as a spare) with automatic turners, humidity/temp, LED candling, and outside humidity reservoirs so I don't have to add water to the inside and disrupt humidity etc. I've hatched many different types of birds in the past but this will be my first time with geese. Basically loved doing this since childhood. Is it better to use an auto turner or turn by hand? Also, how long should I set the eggs out before adding them to the incubator? Do I need to add extra humidity during hatching with a damp sponge or rag etc. Any advice would be appreciated.
