Granny's gone and done it again

Tiny blood blisters just under the skin. Leukemia patients get them.
I guess you can get them from all kinds of reasons. I misspelled it, it's petechiae.

Petechiae are tiny purple, red, or brown spots on the skin. They usually appear on your arms, legs, stomach, and buttocks.

I agree with you Ron. Poor miserable battery hens for one reason. Another, I read somewhere that some 'store bought' eggs can sit around for something like 90 days before they make it to the stores. And the yolks are just pathetic. Flat, pale yellow. I feed my birds sunflower seed to keep the Omega oil up in their yolks. One day somebody I gave extra eggs to called me and said they were amazed when they cracked one of my eggs beside a store bought egg, the difference in the two. The yolk to one of my hen's eggs stood up high and was bright yellow. The store bought egg looked pathetic,

It got up to 44 degrees here today. Niiiiiccccceeeee. Part of the snow melted. Down to 12 tonight, 17 tomorrow and falling temps to below zero tomorrow night and the next night. What thawed today is going to be a skating rink tomorrow.

That doesn't sound like Granny's condition. I was just thinking since she doesn't have any other symptoms or history, that an allergic reaction doesn't quite fit and a vascular (physical) problem might be the cause of the spots. But I really don't know. Too few drs in her part of the world, and even fewer specialists. Such an ordeal to get a diagnosis.

In most places, the eggs come from battery farms. then there is the handling in the store.

Recently California changed some rules so things are supposed to be better though.

I am hoping my hens will start up again and I have an order did you order from the same person on the pita thread?for Pita Pinta hatching eggs! It is very exciting!

It doesn't look all that different from this view.

Now we just need to split and stack the rounds. We are running out of firewood, so will be perfect to have it for next year.

Those look fancy. Hope they're good!
I am having to buy eggs too. Frizzy pullet is the only one laying, and they are tiny little eggs.
not worth the $ IMO a couple had blood spots. I served them anyway. Just a lil speck.

Blood spots happen! The candling machines can't see as well through the darker shells. Easier to see in white eggs and all the reject eggs with blood spots go to bakeries and places that produce pre-made foods. So really you are eating them anyway, you just don't have to see them!

Thats a lot of fire wood huh? Maybe 2 ricks?
Maybe. We need to find some oak too. Works well to combine them.
