I would love to have some in every color. But I can't right now. I need to find homes for the two colombian boys I have. I only want to keep one rooster. That would mean his harem is 3 barbu d'anvers hens, 1 bantam salmon faverolles hen, and 5 barbu de watermael hens. And then he has to fit all the other criteria. He can't be too loud, I won't tolerate him fighting me and I won't tolerate him beating up my girls. If he can't do those things then he can go to someone else lol.

My group will be these hens. 7 d’uccle, 2 polish, 2 silkied feathered Cochin, 4 silkied Easter eggers. And whatever watermael pullets I get out of the 13. So I should be able to keep 2 or 3 watermael cockerels with that many hens. I’m like you only keeping the best temperaments. Enjoy letting mine run free together. We are in the middle of our 40 acres so loud is ok. Found out they go crazy over a dust bath. Loving these personalities

Gosh, right?? This is Steampup Parlor's roo. They said he's a multi generation watermael, and that the roosters he has that are more recently crossed with d'anvers are much, much, much louder, to the point where he rehomes the loud ones and only keeps the ones that have this soft cute crow. I wish he sold. He only shows and does not sell chicks or eggs.

I talked to a lady that has watermael from greenfire line. She said she had one rooster with an attitude. All the rest have been sweet. Hopefully we’ll get that lucky.

Both my cockerels have started to crow. Agate has a softer voice than Red. They do not sound like Steampup Parlor's rooster. They are about twice as loud, with more clarity to the notes, and my roosters don't add the last syllable. "Eeer-ah-err" is what I get from my boys and this rooster went "Eeer-ah-err-er". Steampup's rooster sounds like someone is standing on his cajones while he crows compared to my own. I'm uploading a video.

There adorable . Mine are one month old at that awkward stage. Starting to see some red combs and everybody is getting feathered out.
