International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

Ok, before, we all agreed that green was the number one bit of this group. In all the following pictures, green is on the right, blue is on the left. I had an opportunity to get a few pictures so I took it.

So you are still hatching???:):):) TOM

Yes but not as many. Im only collecting from one particular pair of Marans now because Ive not raised as many as I'd like from them. We arent getting many Game eggs now either so the incubator will soon be turned off (hopefully). This particular Marans chick was the only Marans egg in that clutch and hatched with a group of Games. They grow up thinking they're Game chickens. Lol

They are looking great! Im at work on my phone, and will take a closer look when Im on my laptop again at home.

Fantastic birds! Those tails:drool

Thanks, I am hoping for the better. That would require more pens than I have. It is a option though if worse comes to worse. Lately there has been a lot of worse in my life. Praying for the better. When life gives you lemons throw them out and go get a caramel frappe at McDonald's. Lol

I like this one. I am sick and tired of lemonade, lol.

Sharing updated pictures of Edward, my favorite cockerel. He will be 7 months old on the 20th. He isnt perfect by any means but he has no white so far and he is nice and wide. He has a halo and his back should slope downward to the tail, and his tail has gotten higher than I had hoped but he is lovely otherwise I think. I will mate him to long backed, low tailed females and hope for improvements next year.

Pardon all the weeds, the run was empty for a while and the weeds grew up. He is penned temporarily with some Legbar hens and Queen.
