Welcome to BYC. I would think male. I'm basing that on his "helmet " it looks like he is getting some streamers there. I have very little experience with silkies.

Hello and welcome to BYC. Glad that you have joined this community of poultry lovers. I'm not sure but your silkie looks like a rooster to me. I have a few silkies but none are old enough to start crowing. When the crow or lay an egg is when I'll know what mine are.
