Just read an article, dated in Feb, that said it's going to open in Huber Heights(no idea where that is) but construction hasn't started yet

That is the same one on the article I read. Huber Heights is apparently in the Dayton area.

Louisiana was supposed to have the first one outside of Texas. I can’t remember the exact story, but it was something like the founder or founders dad was from Louisiana and they were going there, but it fell through for some reason and they went to Bama first

They were talking about building one in Monroe, on the I-20 corridor but I don't know what happened to it.
They're is a billboard around Biloxi on I-10 that says something like
"Buck-ees 365 mi. Can you hold it?"

That's another thing that was funny, they had billboards everywhere! 100-150 miles away from the actual store, said pretty much the same thing. There were four at one exit alone
