Isa's Homestead Happenings and Hangout

I still think it is a cow. What is it if not a cow? 🤔

My favorite is the dark chocolate silk almond milk. The vanilla is a close second

So, in the cosmetics industry, all the things they now call "milk" used to be called "water". Because they add a bunch of water, lol. Coconut water, Rice water, Almond water, etc.
Then marketers decided people prefer to use skincare products that sound edible, and there were already "butters" (thicker, oily extracts), so "milk" it was.

Coconuts already had both a milk (flesh & h2o) and a water (existing fluid in the center) so that got confusing fast.

I don't mind that the products exist, but I do wish they would lose the lying "milk" designation, and especially stop taking over the available fridge space from legitimate dairy when a lot of these "milks" can be found on the regular shelves too.
Whine over, lol.
