The 2am update is that it's supposed to be a 4 at landfall.
Likely track has been shifted to the west a bit, further from us but we're still supposed to get strong winds. I hope that doesn't make it worse for you @Brooks_ and... other peeps whose tags I can't recall properly.

The pressure is messing with my ears. We got quite a bit of ... Irene? Dora the explorer? I can't remember her name, but I do remember 9 days without power.
Didn't have such a pressure feeling then. But this is our first hurricane that's not due to visit in the middle of the night, so I get to go to bed!

Nothing to report. Some Gusty wind and small branches down. The little battery powered fan works pretty good, but it's not hot either....so will update on the fan at some point.

I live in the Midwest, but with family down there in the path, I keep my eye on what's happening. My brother is safe. Flooding down by his place. People needing rescuing if they didn't leave. Thankfully, brother left. Nieces, however, are in the path. I wish so much they had evacuated!

I have a few battery fans. They were purchased for camping but are stored with our storm preps.
They are small but the breeze is nice for sleeping when it is hot. They run a long time.
Will have you and others in my thoughts and prayer.
