I think it’s a gene but I can’t find any studies on it or even just people posting. Could be the search parameters though because as soon as you put the word blue next to the word earlobe all you get is egg color stuff related to earlobe color.

Yeah, the funny thing is that earlobes don't predict, or at all related to egg color. But earlobes can be bred to line up with a certain egg color, so it looks like it's linked.

Yeah, despite it being proven false, it still continues to circulate.
