no it doesnt hurt ive never used one but people wouldnt use it or produce it if it did

Yes it does. It bothers them for a little while then they forget about it. Kind of like getting an ear pierced.

In not a pro at this as I do have Japanese but have not seen them as bitties. I do have 6 eggs in the incubator to hatch out on the 21st! My guess is the legs are a bit longer than what I would think they should be. Id give her a little while to grow & feather out a little more then post another picture of her. It is hard to tell the breed of some when they are that little. She is very cute though!!

My daughters only Japanese is her showmanship bird. She was marked for legs too long but my kid couldn't care less. That little bird was the only one in showmanship that stood still for showmanship! Any one in FL with Japanese? I'd love just one more so she would have a friend.
