(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes. My wife surprised me with 6 chicks for Easter of 2023
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 4 hens and a rooster (lost one to a hawk or owl :-(
(3) What breeds do you have? tractor supply mix ??? black copper maran (Betty), saphire splash (stormy), two silkies (Helen and Stanley) and a copper maran (Connie. We lost her sister Karen). Or as close as we can determine.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Eggs and the personalities
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Woodworking, computers, skiing, beer.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am a cop married to a nurse. when we got married I inherited 3 dogs to add to my one, a cat and a large potbelly pig.
