Ok, need silkie chick assistance. Who is the resident silkie specialist. Ricardo is turning out to be special needs, I guess he landed in the right home, but still need help. He's a week old, acts like a day old, seems to be blind and has a bloated crop. We think she's drinking a lot of water, but we know he's digesting food. (Yes, the gender is going to be interchangeable, but she is female).

Any help is appreciated.

What does the poop look like? Solid or just liquid?

Oh lord girl, you can't catch break! :hugs

His poop is solid but it comes with a decent amount of liquid. He still has issues with walking, but knows what it means when we open his mouth to feed him. He definitely wants to eat, but has a hard time finding good that is a good size for him.

This is him next to a grade AA extra large egg.

Luci is double his size and about a day older.

Solid poop means digestion is working I think, so that is good. The lack of growth is concerning though :( Sorry Ricardo seems to be struggling.

@HuffleClaw you have silkies right? Any insight?
When mine fail to grow, it’s been Cocci so far... But im not 100% sure if hers have it or not. It wouldn’t hurt to treat them with Corid.
