This was last summer. Little jerk got some feathers but the duck was unharmed. We don't have the ducks anymore, but I'm sure snakes like chicken just as much. 🐍 🐔
 
What kind of snake is that? I doubt we have those kind up here in Wisconsin. All I see here is garter and bull snakes, both harmless.

That snake seems small to be going after a duck, but I suppose they go for the neck and hope to kill it. Lucky duck you saved it!

It's a rat snake. Yes, he was far to small to eat the duck(full grown drake), but he was trying to coil around his neck.
