My broody hen ended up successfully hatching 7 of her 9 eggs before she left the nest. I doubled checked the 2 she left behind one piped and quit the other looked like it quit several days ago

No it didn’t make it. I noticed that it was piping yesterday and alive when she left the nesting box. I debated on bringing it in to the incubator but chose to tuck it under then hen while she slept on top of the babies outside of the box.

I think I’m hearing chirping. Of course it stops every time I run over to check. Still don’t see any pips but definitely measuring a humidity spike. Low temp is just thermometer placement. Mercury thermometer in the center reads 100f

You could try chirping back to them! Sometimes just a little encouragement is all they need!
