Yea they had 11 chicks. 10 out of 11 are straight comb. If u cross him to other hens that aren't sambas or don't have samba blood in them then the chicks won't come out samba. Check the chicken 8 weeks and older for sale page I posted some samba pullets up for sale.

This cockerel is actually a golden duckwing because of that silver golden wing triangle. Birchen has a solid black wing triangle. If this brown red was silver with the black wing triangle he would be silver birchen. For example the "Punnet Square" photo below.

yes troyer, I should have said the start of birchen as he is a cross between duckwings and blacks. in 3 years I will know whether to keep this birchen color in my cubas.
