And yet both roads had the same amount of leaves, and he kept wondering about where the road not taken would lead. I think this poem is often misinterpreted as going your own way when it’s not really about that.
I had read that Robert Frost wrote "The Road Not Taken" to joke about his friend Edward Thomas, who often found it difficult to make the simple decision of which path they should take on their regular walks.
