Serama/Cochin Cross(official weight posted page two)

This is Zip when she was 3 weeks old.

This is zip now. She is 6 months old and going through her first molt.

This is her mother, Sue, my blue mottle cochin hen.

This is her father, Sir Ama, my Serama roo. He wieghs 16oz.

I love these guys. They are extremely friendly and small.

Did you do anything special to get those two to mate? I have one bantam Cochin hen, and to justify keeping her, I want to introduce the chocolate gene via my pumpkin Serama cock. Did you use A.I., or trim feathers?

I ended up selling my bantam Araucana hen to a friend but not before raising several Serama/Araucana crosses. They were so cute and had the most soft, satiny feathers. The last one I hatched here was a darling, blue pullet. Tuti was totally rumpless and clean faced and smaller than some of my Serama's. She's a house pet and lives in a sunroom now and has a Serama hen for a friend.

I love the little cross that you produced! Zip is puffy and petite all in one! How much does she weigh compared to both parents?
