Oh this is good news! I'm so pleased for him.I think it's going to work with Chirk He got chased twice (as far as I know) during the day, but the other roos' aim seems to be (as their predecessors' have been) just to drive him away, not to pursue and hurt him if he runs away. So when most of the flock had returned to their coops to roost, I found him foraging in the paddock, and he gladly ate the pocketful of mealworms I had with me, and he was still there when I returned with a bowl of food for him. And shortly after finishing that he made his way back to the trampoline, and went to bed in his bin. Hopefully his recovery will continue; he certainly gets more exercise and better forage this way.

I thought the same when I first saw the photo! It looked like she was sitting in a very clear, still pond and her flumffs were a reflectionNo, I meant this fluff: View attachment 3641488
Awww, he's a blue Stilton Stilton is our Easter Egger rooster (and the reason I have a big soft spot for EE roosters). This is ZeusView attachment 3640621
I'm so pleased to hear that! I have such a soft spot for injured roosters after rehabbing my William and witnessing him be excluded from the flock. He is slowly rejoining now, too. I spotted him sharing the yard with Johnny again instead of crying in the driveway all day. He doesn't even try to come in our house anymore because he has amassed a few steady companions.I think it's going to work with Chirk He got chased twice (as far as I know) during the day, but the other roos' aim seems to be (as their predecessors' have been) just to drive him away, not to pursue and hurt him if he runs away. I thought the same thing! The angle of the pic made look like a reflection in a pond! There is much fluff under her but in the first photo, that I thought it was a mirrored image.
My chickens don't have so much fluff.

Poor Fret. Her kids are out of control, walking all over the dinner table
