This is my second attempt at hatching quail. I first tried to hatch Northern Bobwhite Quail but came to no prevail. I was going to try again with Snowflake Bobwhite Quail, but due to an incident in buying eggs, I'm now trying Snowie Coturnix Quail. Because of the density and coloration of the eggs, instead of candling them I'll be weighing them on milestone days.

People have different opinions about handling eggs during incubation, but I aim to do as little as possible. I candle at either 7 days or at lockdown. At both points, you can tell which ones are infertile (green) even though you can't actually see inside the eggs.

Your approach is interesting, though. Do you have a gram scale?

Looking forward to hatching along!

From now on I'll be using grams to weigh the eggs because it's more specific, and better to track development(Thanks to my father and Erkenstein's advice). The next time I'll be posting will be on August 22nd because digits on the hands and feet begin to form.
