Super thin shells! Not anymore!

One of the two 18 month old girls was laying super thin shelled eggs. The last one of those broke just while my husband was picking it up but the yolk and white was fine. So I started researching like crazy. Common consensus was two fold: not enough calcium and not enough vitamin D.

So I bought them some oyster shell pieces and hung a small feeder in the run so they could get what they need, whenever they need it. And since we're already getting really hot here in North Central Texas, we have lots of shade so they aren't getting a lot of D from the sun. So I put a small waterer with Nutri Drench in it, so, again, they can get what they want.

The eggs started getting normal again the next day!

So happy!
