Morning . Yesterday I saw a huge blood spot on the road . Truck must of hit a deer . There ya go Ralphie take a evening road trip to Togo . Likely hit one on the trip .
So weather dork says 45 mph wing gusts for 2 days . So tired of the wind .

I could have had a deer, but I turned it down.

Sunday night a buck was hit on the road in front of our house. He died on our driveway.

That’s just wrong!

I didn’t feel like processing him, he was pretty banged up.

Morning . Wind advisory and burn ban here , High of 67 . Crazy weather . Tomorrow starts our first segment of deer firearm season . 3 days . Rainy weekend they say . Tough for the hunters . I no longer do firearm season . I like nice weather and I can get that in the archery season . Yes age related .

You need to construct a man cave deer stand.

I am thinking about building a larger one next year, with a bed so I can just roll over and pull the trigger if a deer meanders by.

I think hunting in comfort is your excuse to be alone for awhile .

Just like fishing alone, I find I enjoy being the wisest man around and my company is something to be savored.

Ralphie, my friends who hunt just South of your old stomping grounds in the Nemadji River Valley have cleaned up on the deer as per usual. Several nice bucks and some antlerless as well.
