Those chicks are really pretty! Can't give any tips I just wanted to say I love their stance

i am in virginia and shamos and ganoi couldnt handle the cold weather. maybe i could do better pens or keep them inside but all my other orientals seem to be fine whether its cold or hot.

I had Shamo and Ganoi in southern PA and they were fine. I made sure they had a roosting pole where they could completely cover their feet with their feathers or just make them sleep on the floor. I was able to close their coop on the coldest days to prevent wind from blowing through. I had the Shamo for two winters and the Ganoi for four winters. Subsequent generations seemed do better than the originals.

What color do you think this might be? I bought an assortment of different colors from eBay there were 12 eggs. 6 hatched.

Found a great way to give extra protein. I feed them suet cakes they sell for bird feeders. All my babies love it!
