Such a pretty boy

He has to be really young still with such short spurs. He loves to be had fed in a group where he stands flatfooted and eats all he wants while the others jump and don;t get much. He is very well mannered around all the other free ranging chickens as well as us and when our kids are here that are strangers to him. I wonder what a flock of hens like him would look like with him in the middle.

This boy would be around 11 months old when this photo was taken

. As you can see, not much spur. The not even 5 month old Tsouloufati and the near 8 month old serama have the same amount of spur growth he had. These guys take a while to grow out their spurs, the same guy is over one and a half years old now, and his spurs still need work. And mine is of questionable quality, at best!

this is the color that i like for my asil cocks. does this one have pearl eyes and square shanks?

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile. He's got square shanks but no pearl eye, though it's a bit lighter than the usual brown.
