Nevermind they killed a Muscovy baby. My sons not very good at explaining. Will they calm down a little soon?

The pekin mamas? I would take them. I'm sure some Pekins are good moms but from what I've read they're typically not...

I don't even want to think about to Pekings yet lol. These a kc moms. They keep attacking the other girls babies. I locked them in duck pen by themselves for now. Little guy is doing great

Hi... I am new to the duck thread. I have a question. I have 2 ducklings.... They are 9 weeks old. I have been told they seem like boy and girl. Well, I don't know anything about the curly feather.

Are these the starting of curly feathers???? I pray they are not Well at least for both. I don't mind a girl and boy, but I really don't want 2 boys.

Nope. Drake curls don't usually show up till about 12 or 14 weeks. Besides, if hopscotch is quacking at this age she's definitely a she.

Hoping they do better then the kc! Tried to candled the Pekings eggs today and the broke the skin and gave me bruises lol.

I need some advice
You see My duck laid a few eggs in my chickens nest and she got Broody.
Now she has seven chicken eggs and two duck eggs
She has been sitting on the nest for 21 days now and none have externally pipped I'm worried
I figured the chicks would be fine but the ducks would die cause she would abandon them. I incubated them all two days ago and only one chick looked like it would hatch in the next few days
I quickly whipped up a incubator out of a cardboard box Styrofoam and a light bulb, then I realized it got way to hot. It was reaching temps of 116
Then I got a small fan and cut a hole so that it fit here are some pics
