Lol, on a phone? perchie's on my phone does look like it winks. You can see the movement better on a laptop.

Seventeen years ago I donned a red suit with lace collar and my darling hubby and I ventured down to a special Sunday session at the Oakland Courthouse and got hitched. It made the local Fox News -- the event, not our marriage -- and we were featured in a little sound bite. I recall he had a deer-in-the-headlights look, but we're still crazy (for each other) after all these years.

Wow, I'm got way behind since Friday!

Happy anniversary Peep!

I've been hatching quail this weekend. Locked down 16 beautiful little teeny tiny eggs. 9 have hatched so far, 5 more with pips, 2 may be DIS.

We just came back from a Valentine's Day function at the ABQ Aquarium -- "A-Moray" -- which was a private after-hours adults-only tour/lecture on the mating habits of the denizens of the deep (frisky fishes!) with drinks, appetizers and dinner provided. (And, yes, there was a sushi appetizer but I think all occupants were accounted for.) It was great fun and nice to occupy the facility without a zillion little kids underfoot.

The aquarium also hosts slumber parties: "Sleeping with the fishes"


I chided DH that he's not smiling in this photo, but he says he is.

He also insists this fish is smiling....
