People have pretty much forgotten about paper roadmaps. You'd think storm chasers would carry them as backup to their phones.

For some reason, the chard seeds that I planted on April 9th have not come up. They were just in among the garlic, so I don't know what happened.

I plan to plant a row in front of the peas. I just need the peas to be a bit taller first.

The Persian shield didn't regrow (it doesn't always in my zone though), and my purple heart and small rose bush got trampled by the crew that replaced the siding on my house back in the fall so I've got to replace those at some point.

I lost almost all my evening primroses a few years ago when we had the siding replaced. I found three remaining from the hundreds that were about to bloom when the contractors arrived. I transplanted the three into my wheelbarrow garden, and nursed them along. I finally have enough to start putting them back into the front beds.

They are descendants of the ones my mother grew, 50 plus years ago.

@fuzzi Aw, at least you were able to save some though.
Neither the purple heart nor the small rose were particularly meaningful to me. The irises that are all around them are, as they came from my grandma, but thankfully they were all dormant when the siding was done and they bloomed again beautifully this year.
