A photographer took these pics in Germany. The goose family was minding its own business, and the swan grabbed a gosling. The parents fought, bit, etc, the swan, until it let go and the gosling got away.

I'm wondering if that swan was kidnapping or was it going to hurt the poor lil gosling? Does anyone have a speculation?

it was probably going to eat it. Either that or removing it for competition purposes.

That is an amazing picture!

It is, isn´t it? There are others, here´s one...
it´s showing the gander getting a good grip on the swan´s wing. The photographer said the swan dunked the gosling a number of times before it let go, which it only did after getting a good beating from the geese.
