Hello!

My sweet hen Juniper has recently started having super watery poos and diarrhea like this (her whole butt is a mess)

I've looked online but haven't been able to pinpoint what is going on here...
She's eating and drinking, moving around, she stopped laying recently because temps are cold here. (Canada)
I think her comb and face look a bit pale in general but I am stumped.

Looking to treat her but just not sure what I'm treating for, any advice is a huge help!!

Thank you so much!

It's not possible to have poop tell what specific disorder or disease is responsible. Sometimes poop is merely a reflection of what the bird has consumed. However, there are clues to be garnered from poop.

If the poop has a very bad smell, it can be assumed it contains more than normal bacteria, and that can point to a disease or bacterial infection.

The green in poop can indicate the bird is starving from not eating enough or not enough calories are able to be absorbed. The reason for this is bile being the only thing to be going through the digestive tract, and bile is green.

The yellow can point to liver issues or reproductive issues. That's pretty broad and not too helpful.

Age of the hen is important to know. It's important to know what her behavior is. It's important to know what she's been eating.

Her age can tell us if she'd molting as that explains the pale comb if she is.

Try giving her boiled rice and some keifer, yogurt or buttermilk mixed in. This may clear up the diarrhea. If it makes no difference and she's behaving lethargically, then I would try to obtain an oral antibiotic somehow. If you have any people antibiotics on hand, those work for chickens, too. A probiotic can often firm up runny poop as long as there's no underlying pathological reason for it.

To sum up, I'd try the rice mix and the probiotic first. Then if the poop continues as it is and her behavior indicates she's feeling sick, I suggest getting her on an antibiotic.
