I'm enjoying dining on all the above vicariously while my leftovers of a dab of this and that heats in the microwave. It sure would be better with a thick slice of this coated with garlic butter and a sprinkle of Parmesan on it.
The French bread I baked yesterday with 20 month old yeast turned out pretty good for bread machine bread. The yeast has been kept in the freezer since I purchased it.

The French bread setting takes a little over 3 hours start to finish. It cycles through mix, knead, rise, knead, rise, and bake. The bread has a nice crust, in spite of my using cheap all purpose flour.

And I used chicken fat instead of butter or shortening. Maybe that helped. LOL
