When can I allow my ducklings to swim?

The mother duck controls when they get in the water and when they must get out. If you raise the ducks by hand, YOU are the mother and need to remove them from the tub/pool before they get too tired and drown or get waterlogged and chillled. Baby ducks love to swim, it should be, preferably, sunny and warm so they don’t get too cold too fast. Good luck!

While they still have down, water should be warm, warm room and dry off afterwards... be careful of chills after bathtimes too... once fully feathered, they're much better at waterproofing and temp regulation...

Not all mamas are created equal either, some of the first time mamas have 'fails' too...

Very true. To me best to always err on the side of caution you wouldn't put a 2 week old baby into cool water for a bath so not a good idea to do that with ducklings either till feathered in.
