Ostrich the big black jersey giant is the mother, but who is the father? Help me figure it out. See pics of those involved. "Blue" is the huge 2week old chick with 5 toes,feather feet and soft (softer/finer than usual for a jersey giant) feathering.
Blue is next to teeny who hatched only 1 day after blue!

We thought Penny and nugget were both girls when we named them. Out of 6 chickens, 3 turned out to be roosters.
I believe penny is the father of the little white chick too. Very interested in creating some big jersey giant silkie crosses!

We will be selling or giving away all our spring chicks as we are already 4 chickens over our 3 chicken limit.

If the chick has 5 toes I'd say it came from Nugget. Do Silkies have 5 toes? Never raised one so I have no idea.

Silkies all have five toes, regular chickens have four toes. Both fathers are part silky and have feathered feet and legs as well as five toes. The mother who is a Jersey Giant only has four toes.
