It would do me no good to try to water anything in full sunlight here. If the sun is shining, the wind is blowing... so I would end up watering my neighbor's lawn instead of my own. We have to water at night. :)
Yes, they can infest dogs, cats, sheep and other livestock. I'm not sure about chickens 🤔
A few years back a little girl in the town next to me got sick and passed away from it. 😞
So far the colony in my area has always tested negative. They come out every spring and check them. If they ever test positive they will kill the colony off. But it wouldn't be long before they'd be back. They're very persistent little critters.
The ones in our area are kinda dangerous though. It's not them per se, but the fleas they have can carry the bubonic plauge. That's enough to keep me from wanting to attempt to tame one
My sister thinks they're adorable. But she moved out here next to me this past winter. I'm curious to see if she still finds them so cute after she has to spend her weekends filling holes all summer long ;)
Thankfully I don't have gophers, those little things drive me crazy :rant
But I do have prairie dogs. A gazillion of them, digging holes trying to get me to break my ankle if I'm walking outside after dark. :smack
Beautiful plants IM! :love Share more photos... I'm living through everyone's pictures, because the only thing growing in my yard this year, is gonna be weeds and rocks.
He learned to walk.... now I can't keep up with him :gig :wee
You know, there's a reason women my age don't have babies, he has WAY more energy than I do. It's a good thing he's so cute.
