Its so hard to decide who to keep and who not to keep as Im trying to keep my number at about 20 some of my hens are not going anywhere ever but other I need to rotate out like this is the safe keep list
My F3 hen shes the grandaughter of the rooster two dogs killed in 2015 so shes not going anywhere she was hatched 12-08-16
My Two Speckled sussex as they are my friendliest hens got them from tsc 5-7-19
My F6 Beabra as shes my same line as my F3 She was hatched 3-7-20
My 4 chocolate Wyandottes because I paid big bucks for them from a breeder as chicks, got them 4-23-20
My F4 BLRW rooster Hatched 5-10-20 hes part of my line aswell
Cinnabun as she lays my biggest eggs got her from tsc on 5-20-20
My Cheeks as he can be mean and its so easy to carry him around now hes so use to it hes crows when holding him
Now heres the ones I will be either trying to sell or eat the two mottled brothers hatched 1-1-21 the silver one is becoming aggressive and the laced one lost his mottling gonna breed them once more in the spring then they are going
The sister to the laced rooster above, she was hatched 1-20-21 gonna breed her in the spring then sell her as shes not mottled either.
My chocolate split rooster will be processed I ended up using his brother to get a chocolate cockerel he was hatched 1-31-21
F7 Beablette she was hatched 2-11-21 not sure If I want to keep her as shes pretty skittish she is Beabras and a blue Ameraucana Chick I might breed her to Mr Cheeks then sell her not sure yet
My F7 lavender splits Hatched 2-11-21 gonna sell the hen and eat the rooster once I hatch a lavender with a rose comb
Black Copper Maran got her from tsc 2-26-21 gonna breed her to an olive egger rooster then prolly sell her as shes very skittish
Chicks hatched 4-12-21 this one I'm gonna prolly keep as shes mottled with a rose comb
This hen im gonna keep prolly because I wanna breed her to a chocolate wyandotte rooster to get chocolate easter eggers she is a chocolate wyandotte hen x Mr Cheeks offspring the hen was processed as she had ascites or was internally laying and this was the last egg inside her
This pullet I'm gonna sell as all my breedings to make tolbunt wyandottes all I did was recreate a ss and shes getting picked on badly by beablette and the maran
Chick that hatched 7-2-21 I'm gonna prolly process as its broody raised and I cant tell if its a rooster or hen but its always peeping and its basically feral it also looks like the father
Chicks that hatched 8-27-21
Keeping these ones my chocolate cockerel as i need him for my chocolate hens
This pullet as shes my F3 hens chick and might wanna breed her to the chocolate male to get a chocolate laced hen
This pullet as shes looks to be a blue mottled hen
Not sure if I wanna keep these ones
A blue laced hen shes not mottled so prolly wont heep her
This black pullet as I really dont need her but could use her if i hatch a lavender rooster so debating on this one
This black/chocolate cockerel I dont need as I have the chocolate but kinda wanna hold onto him "incase" something happens to the chocolate cockerel
This chocolate pullet I prolly dont need
This mottled rooster as he has a single comb but hes very friendly
My broody hatched chicks on 9-7-21 but wont be keeping any as they seem stunted and feral
Last are chicks hatched 9-17-21 only keeping the first two olive eggers I'm pretty sure I have a pair
Dont need this one due to the single comb
This one because its splash
Or this one I hatched for a friend looks like a pullet I dont need it and they wanted a male
So this is my entire chicken flock some staying some going some will be breeders etc whatever pullets dont sell will be processed aswell I can't seem to even give away pullets because everyone dumps their birds off at the end of the year just to go buy cheap tsc in the spring.I don't get it but whatever they will fill my freezer as I dont wanna waste them and most of my chickens are for food until I make the perfect flock which will have a lavender and a tolbunt wyandotte in it. I feel no one really is this invested in chickens like I am. So if anyone wants to follow along I will update this as time goes on if not I still will update this as will make a nice journal for me. As my line goes back quite a bit can do backgrounds on certain birds as well if anyones interested.
