SS newbie question (NOT show birds)

Just got 10 week old Speckled Sussex this week; 2 pullets and a cockerel. They are of course feathered out, but I'm wondering if color/pattern changes with first molt. These have patches of white, especially on breast. And, not all mahogany feathers are tipped in white. They're not for show or formal breeding; just part of a mixed flock so they're fine either way. I'm just curious what to expect.

They will feather out nicely once their adult feathers come in

Yes, the patterns will change with the molt.

And the pattern will continue to change with each molt as the bird ages. Usually they get progressively more white, show stock or not.
