Can i give oregano oil to my chicken? if its not essential?

i just wanted to know cause i got oregano oil for my chicken but its not oregano essential oil its just oregano oil and im scared to use it cause everywhere i have read they're using oregano essential oil
so i just wanted to ease my mind a bit thats why i asked you all...

Whatever for? Chickens need good food, water, and appropriate housing. Nothing about this stuff!

Oregano oil is a natural antibiotic, useful for treating infections for those who can't get or can't use fish mox and such. :]

Antibiotics are used to kill or suppress bacteria, and will affect both bacteria in the normal gut flora, and possible pathogens. So changing the normal bacterial load isn't all that helpful.

While not an antibiotic per se, I've found it to be effective at the earliest symptoms in human use. Therefore a good preventative as well.

I think antimicrobial would be a better term for oregano oil. Being a food, does not interfere with gut health.
