Gabapentin

I know what gabapentin is as I take it for nerve pain in my shoulder. It's also used to treat epilepsy in people. No idea why chicks would need it.

Yep my husband takes it too for alodyna. Our vet has also given it to us for our cat too. It's used for a bunch of different things. My doctor gave it to me for menopause. I have seen it prescribed for animals for pain management But chicks? Head scratcher

I have a chick about 3 months old that has attained a head injury, I have her in a dark quiet place to start healing and was wondering if gabapentin can be given to chickens
Aww. Poor thing! I just posted a link to poultryDvm that says the syrup has xylitol and not good for them
