Yep my husband takes it too for alodyna. Our vet has also given it to us for our cat too. It's used for a bunch of different things. My doctor gave it to me for menopause. I have seen it prescribed for animals for pain management But chicks? Head scratcherI know what gabapentin is as I take it for nerve pain in my shoulder. It's also used to treat epilepsy in people. No idea why chicks would need it.

This is vet issue not peopleThe commercially available oral suspension of gabapentin contains xylitol and should not be used in birds.
