Is morning glory ok for chickens to eat?

Low toxicity in the seeds.

Imp- Does it matter? seems like it's impossible to get rid of.

Most likely you have field bindweed, not morning glory. They look very similar but aren't the exact same plant. Are the flowers white? If so, it is very likely field bindweed.

Morning glory is an annual - if you prevent it from going to seed, it will die.

Field bindweed is a perennial and is nearly impossible to eradicate. I've been battling it on my property for the last two years.

main problem with morning glory is during the seasons when the seeds are available to peck at and little else and they will consume /over consume past the occasional nip.
If you can get rid of it or at least try that is a good thing ...I am constantly busy tearing it out of my plants (in this way it will not be able to seed)

Apparently bindweed is not TERRIBLY toxic to chickens....My Chickens have eaten it OUT of their area. No sick chickens as far as I can tell.

(Hoping that STUFF won't come back, but I think it will. It has a root system that rivals alfalfa!)

I'm not sure, I haven't heard of anything happening to chickens form specifically Morning Glory, but I do know that the seeds from certain types of Morning Glorys contain LSA which is a hallucinogen.
