WOW!! that is amazing!! The owner should play the lottery or something! I am glad the horses weren't hurt!! So far some of my herd is a bit wet, but doing well otherwise...still have a few hours til the storm is all the way out of my area!
NightShade Farms-- I like the night, and the shade, and I like Deadly Nightshade--it was Sally's favorite herb to use in The Nightmare Before Christmas. I also named my photography business NightShade Photography.
Well, I think it made your situation sound a bit more hopeful, I was hoping it might buy her some time, because it really does sound like she may have the first problem they described, considering you don't feel anything egg-like. and she doesn't seem to be getting worse, just not really getting...
I hear you about the barn, mine looks rickety, but it was standing through all the other hurricanes, before I moved there.
holliewould -- I am glad you came through it safe!! it is windy and rainy still, tornado watches--the usual...just watching and waiting!!
My sister has wild blue at her home, has had it for like 3 years, and I do all of her networking, etc. at her house, it has not had any major problems, I mean they do lose service on occasion during a bad storm, but they lost their sattelite tv at that time as well. It is not a bad system, if...
so far all is well, we are getting some major rain from the outer bands, and the wind is getting nasty. the ducks are running around the yard like it's a carnival, the goats are huddling in the barn like the end is near lol. I have already been out to check on everyone, and make sure they are...

I know what you mean about how wasteful society is...I use the hides, feathers, bones, organs, intestines...heck I even dry the tendons from the goats I butcher for sewing the leather products I make from the hides!!! I HATE wasting!!!!! And I will remember to NOT cross those particular birds!!

This may intrest you, I am going to make a few of these, since we have had more hurricanes in our area lately, here is the link http://www.rain.org/~philfear/how2solar.html
it is fairly inexpensive, and considering how bad you feel over your loss, it will be worth it to hopefully never have to...

I always wait with evil glee to see the real people LOL
I am the same way...they always have this beautiful actress playing the lead female's role, then show the "real" lady, she is always like enourmous and toothless with scraggly hair...I am glad I am not the only one who enjoys that!!
That is what I was thinking!! if it gets really bad out there, I was thinking of bringing all the babies (goats) and putting them in the laundry room....just because I have some orphans who don't always follow what the rest of the herd is doing, so they don't always keep themselves out of...
