You are fine, I just hadn't heard about anything in regards to Lewiston. It would save me an hours travel.
Obviously I'm still lurking around, I have always loved this site, encouraged all poultry functions, like with the NNEBFA I do not show birds, but I encourage keeping stock to...
Posted the information excatly how I recieved it. Sorry if it sounded like I was trying to change anything, that's not the intention, we are still very new to all this.

Contacted Cathy and asked if she wouldn't mind it being posted here, so I did a post for this show, with the information she sent me.
Not sure how to link to it from here, sorry This will be our first time doing this show, sounds like loads of fun.

actually the first time you get tested, it's 100% of your flock except those under 1 yr of age. THEN it is 10% of your flock and at least ONE of every breed, according to my local tester. I have to bring my birds to him, he won't travel. the fee is like $2/bird.
Weird. Didn't happen...

The next meeting of the Northern New England Bird Fanciers Club will be held on June 14th at 10 am at the Farmington Fairgrounds. The Basket Show will be held on August...
The chicken clubs don't usually have young chicks for sale at their functions, most everything is very close to 4-6 months old, most breeders we know grow them out before selling to see what they may have for breeding or show stock. I'm sure the law would apply to everyone the clubs would not...

Have a meeting with one club this month, will bring it up and see how it goes. Even if you just enter one bird your an exhibitor and there is no charge to set up at this point Of course too like chickn mentioned blood test paper work would be needed (out of state is fine), it is...
Just a thought why not try a few areas, would be great to get more of these going in Maine. Maybe also include more education as well. Most people have no idea what great little friends these little guys can be, I know I was one of those people, when we were younger our family raised them for...

That store sounds great to have one Skowhegan may also work great for the folks that would be coming from the northern part of the State too, would work great for us, not too far.. The bummer to that day for us is it's a Saturday, if I had enough advance notice I can get a day off..
The Augusta TSC doesn't have a lot of shady areas, course it's new. They do have the top side of the parking lot, but when we were there last week it was full of trailers for sale. There is a little road that goes around the building, but part of that looked blocked off. I'm not sure how it...
