Hello everyone, I am new to the genetics and coloring combinations pertaining to Orpingtons. I have a buff rooster....if I have a Jubilee hen, what would their chicks color(s) be.
Hello, my husband and I have recently decided to expand our flock!!!! I'm looking for preferably buff, Saxony, Welsh, or other ducks!!!! I'd love young females but I'm willing to consider ducklings too!!!! Close to Tacoma but willing to reasonably travel!!!! Thank you!!!!! No muscovy or mallard...
My buff duck just hatched 7 babies. Her mate is a crested. The babies don’t look like either. Some are a darker yellow, others are brown with stripes. None seem to have crests, though it is day 1 so it’s possible we just can’t make them out yet.
Does anyone have any pictures of grown buff +...
I have 8 week old buff orpingtons, and I currently feed them a starter feed and occasionally throw in some dried mealworms. I was just wondering what other foods, like fruits or veggies, I can start feeding them. Thank you all!:jumpy
this actually happened some time ago. We’ve since come to terms.
But i’ve Had the "in memory of" sketch sitting, it had to be completed.
I like to think our Orp went out in a blaze of heroism. She was trying to warn us all morning.
My Buff Orpington has spots on a couple of her tail feathers. Is this normal? I don’t think it’s dirt. She’s had them since she started to get her feathers in.
Today I took my chick outside like I always do when I get home from work. Usually she tries to fly and runs around all over the place. Today however she just keeps sitting. It doesn’t seem like she is in pain or anything. Is this normal behavior? She’s almost 5 weeks old now.
I have recently started raising a buff Orpington! (And I’m obsessed with her) I read a lot online about how to sex a chick when they are extremely young and the most common way was to look at the feathers. She has the two layers of feathers and they are different lengths. Her wings are extremely...

this is Lloyd he is 7 weeks old from TSC bantam bin! He has a three row pea comb, beginning to turn red, with one large row in the middle and two smaller but still noticeable rows along the sides. I included a side profile pic for his coloring. His tail is beginning to show green iridescence. Is...
I'm new to the whole having chickens. I have 14 Buff Orpingtons. They are about 5 weeks old and am looking forward to growing in knowledge as they grow.
I have always wanted to have my own flock, so this wasn't a whim. I'm already planning on adding to the number next year. it's alot of work...
It's that time of year again. Spring has finally sprung and my geese are in full swing of laying eggs. If you're looking for eggs to hatch or goslings to raise I should be able to supply you with either. I usually charge $3 per egg or $10 per gosling. Shoot me a message and I'll get back to...
I’ve got four chicks (four months old), brothers and sisters, and I’m pretty convinced two are cockerels, one is a pullet, and one is leaning towards a pullet, but I’m not convinced. Lol
If y’all disagree with my guesses on the first 3 please let me know
Pic 1- pullet?
Pic 2- both cockerels...
