Peppercorn is a 4 week old sexed pullet from Meyer Hatchery. Her feather pattern suggests pullet (partridge on wings), but the comb seems red to me for how young she is, and she’s slow to feather which sometimes suggests rooster.
If anyone has experience with this breed/pattern, let me know if...
I know we all love the classic what gender is this post. And here I am to deliver.
I bought these what were supposed to be pullets back in the beginning of March .
I have them all labeled A - E
I’m getting a little better but wanted to double check with figuring this out.
My guess
A ...
I'm posting again lol for help with my light brahmas. They look so much different. I'm wanting a rooster, hopefully the one ine the first picture is one. It still has a fluffy tail, no actual tail feathers yet. The other one has tail feathers. They're around 8 weeks old
Hey. Kinda new here.
These are my about 3-4 month hens. I do have 2 month or two older hens who would pick on them and the rooster would too when they were tiny.
Not anymore, and when I put 5 baby chicks to get fresh air, these girls (Goldie (fast as I know a calico Cochin) and the brown one...
These silkies are all around 6 or 7 weeks and a few of them are giving cockerel vibes and not just because of some of the combs, can anyone confirm my suspicions?
i’ve got two blue english orp chicks in my brooder. we hatched most of our own eggs this year but picked these up at the farm store along with some leghorns.. i think we’re approaching 3-4 wks so a bit early BUT these two look so different that i’m just sure the darker chick is a cockerel.. much...
bought this chick from TSC listed as a “olive egger pullet” from week one I’ve been thinking it’s a cockerel due to lack of tail feathers and size of comb. Chick is now three weeks old. Any guesses what breeds were crossed to make him? What about sex?
I have 3 7 week old chickens I need help sexing. I'm pretty sure the brown one is female. The two light brahmas im unsure of. The middle chicken looks different than their sibling. Comb is different and wattles are more red. I know it's still early just wanna see if anyone has any opinions.
I've posted my chickens before to see if anyone thinks I have a rooster. I think one of my light brahma ( 3rd and 4th pics) is a rooster. I'm unsure of my other brahma which is the last two photos
I got these three Ameraucana chicks from tractor supply they are 7 weeks old now and I don’t know if they are potentially true breeds/ what genders
Chicken hawk (black)- has hardly any tail feathers
Owl (second image) (pecks me a lot)
And whitey (runs up and flogs at everyone)
I’m new to RIRs, I thought all of them were roosters but I didn’t realize that the ladies also have pretty large combs.
These just turned 6 weeks old yesterday. There are 5 of them. They’re all roughly the same size, I think. There might be 2 that are bit heavier set than the rest.
Sorry...
A few months ago I got 8 pullets and this beige one is the funniest looking one. I am curious what she might be. Her egg color is a very light brown with almost pinkish color. Also I have what I believe to be a white leghorn but she’s laying cream colored eggs is this a thing?
We had some chicks be left on our door step AND we have a bantam bundle we ordered from Cackle. I need help figuring out their breeds, they’re small so I’m sure it’s still too hard to gender them, but if you can I’ll appreciate it!
Hello again all!
My second batch of babies is about ready to be introduced to my other hens. They are all 5 weeks old and are all supposed to be pullets, however, I'm nervous about a couple as their combs are pretty large and are turning red (though it may be the breed). WHICH brings me to my...
Hi everyone!!
I need some help with the gender of 4 chickens that I have. All of them are about 1.5 months old. Pictures included, even though they strongly disagreed with having their pics taken haha. I know the breeds of 3 out of the 4 chickens so I will post them along with what sex i think...
