Things I have learned about going through chemo
1. You lose hair in the strangest places
Forget about eyebrows and eyelashes learn to draw them on or just deal with it

2. You can go from hot to cold in zero to 60 seconds so always layer your clothes preferably summer clothes under winter clothes and expect to become an expert in taking them on and off in mere seconds.
3. Things you could once eat will cause your senses to go into overload and you will barf at the thought of food so NEVER crave the things that you love the most

4. There's no such thing as modesty when you have cervical cancer and receive treatment at a "learning hospital" even the hot interns become less attractive when looking below your belt

And lastly, NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER go outside on a windy day with your hair blowing in the wind ESPECIALLY if you have clip in hair extensions, because when the wind blows just right and that hair piece flies away and hits Dr. McHotty pants SQUARE IN THE FACE you my friend will not look like a hot model in a photo shoot and will in fact want to DIE!!!

WEEK 1 OF CHEMO IS ALMOST OVER!! I hope you all enjoyed the humor I have found in this week's life lessons...Xoxo Lucy

Because someone said there could not be too many duck pictures in this thread..... and I don't have any ducks.... this pic from Facebook made me laugh.

And then, because I have followed this thread from the beginning and love your personality and humor, I'd like to introduce you to my new puppy, Lucy. I hope she is as strong and fun as you are.

And with that I will go back into lurk mode while I plan for my ducks this summer. :)

Oh, that is just great. Thanks for the laughter, Lucy. You should seriously give thought to writing about your experiences if for no other reason, to pass on to other women who have been newly diagnosed.

Laughter is healing.

One week down, 5 to go!

Lucy is absolutely adorable and I am going to show everyone this picture because, well, there's a puppy out there with my name, how amazing is that! Even though I don't come close to be that cute, I am sure with the name she will be spunky and fun. I am the only girl out of 6 boys, so naturally I became Lucy after the girl from Charlie Brown. I'm not so much bossy anymore

I have always been courageous, and a little stubborn (comes with the name

I am honored that you would call her Lucy and hope she is a sweet fun loving pup! Pop in every once in a while so we know how everything is going...
