2 embryo in 1 egg? Please look at picture

I've taken care of a lot of C-lines. I can't remember a patient telling me that they were uncomfortable.

A kink in the catheter under the skin?! OUCH! I think a nurse needs a refresher course on IV catheter insertion! At least checking them to make sure they are patent  once they are inserted.

Rest. Put ice on your hand where the catheter was. Rest some more. Tomorrow will be better. Try to get out and visit with your ducks for a bit. They will make you feel better.

It was PAINFUL which sent me into a frenzy because my oncology nurse said that I would be so happy with this line, 3 days of pain didn't make me happy. I may be wrong on my medical terms here but you get my drift lol.. no knots appear to be in this one than goodness! I did go down and feed the ducks but was wobbly so I came back in, plus the wind was AWFUL :(
Duck therapy always helps! :)

Here's a serious question
I was told the PICC line was in place for everything, all medicine, ***** etc... Wondering if I could push my insulin through it

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Hi, I discovered this thread the other day and I've been on the edge of my seat reading the duck chronicles. I hope you don't mind if I join.

And that port is a direct line to your heart. Nurses shouldn't take it lightly when they access it. You should see them scrubbing the end of it with alcohol wipes. Sorry, I try not to give unsolicited advice...

You're in my prayers that your treatment goes well :) And there can never be too many duck pictures on this thread :)

sorry, but thats how it was created to be given

though i feel you pain!!!

Everybody is right. No is the answer. If you bolus insulin directly into your bloodstream you will have all sorts of unpleasantness happen. It is a subcutaneous drug.

I know it seems tempting but stick with your little insulin syringes.

So how is the C-line feeling this morning?
