Hello! I hatched some eggs for a class project we were doing and kept back my favorites. I have 2 Langshans and 2 Silkies. A blue and black, and a chocolate and mauve, respectively. The blue langshans is very obviously male; any thoughts on the others?

For the silkies I would say male based off comb, but you cant be sure until 6 months and you get a pretty good guess at 4 months. Silkies are a very inbreed breed so you will have a higher possibility (usually about 70-30 ish for my hatches) of males.

Interesting. How does inbreeding increase the ratio of males?
