6mo old EE, not crowing yet. Is he a he?

This is a hard one. The overall body screams hen, but the hackle feathers look very pointy to be a hen. It could just be the coloring and the image. Do you have any straight-on photos of her comb?

It’s the black pattern that is pointy the actual edge of the feather is red and rounded. With the Columbian neck pattern it can be deceiving from far away.
 
I agree with the others. You've got yourself a pretty pullet. The rust colored shoulders aren't necessarily a hard and fast rule for EEs. In your girl's case, she has rust around her neck too and the color pattern is fairly uniform. A cockerel would be almost random splotchy coloring with the rust wings.

Judging by her comb, she may be close to giving you an egg. Happy you got some good news!
