This past Sunday, which also happened to be my birthday, I went to work as any other normal day. I am a cook in a nursing home, and sometimes sloppy accidents happen, so I keep a change of clothes in the backseat of my vehicle. At about 2pm, I had a food accident that required a clothing change so I went out to the car to get some clean clothes. I opened the back door on my Ford Explorer to find one of my hens, inquisitively perched up on the back of the seat! After I got over the shock of bringing a chicken with me to work, I was trying to figure out how she got in without me noticing, then it hit me. The evening before, I came home with groceries and opened the rear hatch to unload. She must have jumped in thinking I had treats in there and I never saw her. So she spent the night, and went to work with me the next morning. (It was dark when I left for work, so I wouldnt have even noticed). She was as quiet as she could be, because I never noticed. Along with finding her in the car, I found about 20 hours worth of poop also. My co-workers were hysterical. My boss was still laughing yesterday-she just hasnt been able to stop giggling. Now I have become the butt of constant chicken jokes from everyone who works in the nursing home. Even a note left on the wall in the employee bathroom........... I guess noone told you that it wasn't "bring your chicken to work day". So for the rest of my shift, I cracked the windows and provided my stowaway with food and water........and I know I will never hear the end of that! Gotta love those little fuzzybutts!

Oh that's too funny:) I would make jokes too as that's a interesting situation:)
