I'm sure it'll be alright but I wanted to double check first so I'm asking here!

I joined the Silkie Club and each year they feature member written articles in the book.

I was wanting to send in my Bathing Silkies article for them to potentially publish.

Even though I've posted it here on BYC, I am still allowed to send it to them right?

There's no rules saying once I've posted it here, I'm not allowed to post it elsewhere?

I would think so.....BYC doesn't 'own' anything posted by members here.

@aart is correct, BYC staff will ask for permission to print or use the pictures you have submitted if they use it in the calendar, or other contests but you still own the rights to the picture.

Yeah, you retain copyright over the content, but BYC has a license over it.
From the terms:

You are granting us with a non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, unlimited license to use, publish, or re-publish your Content (including and not limited to posts, images, comments, articles, etc.) in connection with the Service. You retain copyright over the Content.
