Hi there! I’m a new chicken mama. A month ago, I bought two silkies, 3 jersey giants and 3 cream legbars. They are all thriving and doing wonderful. I’m jumping on the hatching wagon now as well.
Today, I picked up 12 eggs to begin incubating. Some Serama/bantam mixes and some colored layers as well. Someone messaged me today offering silkie eggs. They informed me that silkies can sometimes be late hatchers and can also be a bit more tricky to hatch. She is willing to meet on Wednesday. My question is, if I start incubating my eggs tomorrow that I already have, can I add the silkies eggs once I have those picked up, or will it throw off the clutch in the incubator? Can I keep my current eggs on the counter until Wednesday and add them all together in the incubator at once? Thanks in advance!
